Pros

Telecommuting is nice but there is sometimes a delay in getting a response from supervisors, and this can be difficult. I have been assigned to various projects and the work can be interesting.

Cons

It can be isolating at times and the work can be mundane. I do not think they know the word "raise" as they are never given or spoken of.

Pros

I love the flexibility to work remotely, but that is client specific, I'm not sure that would be true for other roles like this at Lionbridge. People are very friendly

Cons

Very under market salary for what I do and the experience I bring. Lionbridge seems to not understand how to mix the consulting/offshore services model in a way that is applicable to a diverse workforce

Stepping stone for better opportunities

Pros

- Great for entry level experience in Software Testing - Most employees willing to go above and beyond - small 401k Matching, mediocre health insurance offering

Cons

- Unprofessional and gossipy work environment - Lack of stability - Using aged equipment and software that is not up to date. (CRT Monitors, Windows environments were not updated to 7 until much later) - Only path to a full time tester is through part-time work; which often consists of full-time hours for at least a year before even being considered for full-time position. Most employees get "full time" only if their job responsibilities far exceeds a part-time tester (such as working as a team lead).
