Pros

Overall company culture is ok. Your only concern is personal differences which may not be an issue if you're working for the right team. I've heard some people love their bosses.

Cons

Depending on where you are in the world you might be working for some individual who doesn't know sales and spews out a lot of theories on what they think must be done. Also there will be times you will get no support from the project management team, and rightfully so since you're in a different department. However it really makes you look bad to your clients when you issue a Quotation with no knowledge of a service.

Pros

I actually enjoyed what the job was - rating/coding search engine pages... it was fun and interesting... well, until ... (refer to "Cons" ... )

Cons

They required continuous "training" without pay as they constantly changed their rules for rating, not to mention the extensive initial unpaid training/testing (about 12 hours!) they used to bill their clients for, yet do not pay the applicants who code/rate as part of their "testing process". After I was hired and began working and turned in my statement for services, they asked me every time to reduce the hours I turned in , even though I had reduced them before submitting because I realized being new, I was probably slower than someone more experienced. This happened every time, and I finally told them to pay me or they would be hearing from my attorney (my husband) and small claims court, at which time, they finally paid me. I decided I was done with them after that.

Pros

Some nice people work there. Hours are reasonable and company pays for health insurance. Ballina is an ok town and there are several lunch options available.

Cons

Pay tends to be very low and wages were frozen for several years even though the unit was very profitable. Meetings were held every quarter where budget targets were discussed at length (in terms of percentages), but actual numbers were never discussed, no doubt to stop the plebs from rebelling. Staff turnover is pretty high.
