Pros
Well managed, and able to adjust it's spending in order to keep people employed through market downturns. Carefully managed the growth of its infrastructure, neither pinching pennies needlessly, nor buying the latest and greatest just to say they have it. On the IT side, the head of IT aggressively protects their people from politics, while at the same time encourages communication between IT, development, and the end users.
Cons
The worst thing about Lionbridge was simply being a Linux guy in a windows shop. The infrastructure was built around a windows and end user view of the world, and extra effort had to be made to integrate enterprise level linux servers into the environment.
