Dead-end job so it's only to be used as extra money. If you have an issue that is HR-related including 401 K issues than good luck finding the right person to help you. You may have part-time employee status but it's like you are a throwaway employee.
One of the main cons is the communication in general is very poor. The project guidelines are unnecessarily harder to read than they have to be, and should have more examples that actually fit the type of files you transcribe. The main project manager and some others communicates professionally and answers questions. But some of the others do not. Some of their communication etiquette is also poor coming out of certain locations. It is nice when people introduce themselves and tell who they are when first contacting you since it's a remote job.
Also, it isn't a good look when you receive an email that isn't grammatically correct and you are working an English transcription project. Then there is the review process. They will randomly tell you your percentage score, but will not show you what you missed. They said it's because the client doesn't want screenshots, yet you are working on the client's platform which isn't NASA or something like that. I wouldn't tell who the client is anyway because it's unprofessional but it is definitely not anyone that has a proprietary platform being that I have worked the same platform for another company. It makes it hard to know exactly what you missed since they are very secretive about it. It also makes them lose credibility because you should know what is graded since it's graded by people who could be wrong themselves. I have never worked for tech company who isn't transparent about reviews until I worked for this one.
