      I met some cool people and shifts were usually fun.

      Cons

      My store manager has some of the worst traits a manager can have: he is lazy,he barks orders at his crew and belittles or talks down to them in front of customers, he is completely inconsistent, and shows no appreciation for hard work and dedication.I worked there for almost 4 years and the entire corporate structure is designed for the managers, with no regard for assistants or crew. I felt like nothing more than a warm body.

      It was a good first job, but never got a pay raise within two years of working there.

      Pros

      If the other employees are fun or at least friendly, you'll get by your shifts easily. It's a very easy job that's easy to learn.

      Cons

      I never received any sort of pay raise within two years of working there, and I was their best cashier. Depending on the location, it can get boring if the store is slow. I would only recommend this job to a sixteen year old who is looking for their first job.
