      Pros

      If you become an apprentice, they dont have any expectations of what you should know. You can learn in positions you'd like to be in in the future and get real experiance.

      Cons

      Once you become very good in your role and would like to start getting paid in the same bracket as Level 1-2 engineers, it's difficult to make that transition straight out as an apprentice.
