Pros

Lockheed is a paycheck at this point. The benefits are good, but you'd get good benefits as a medical receptionist as well. You don't have to reach for the sky (LM) to find good benefits somewhere. The pay is not competitive. I'm trying to come up with something good, but I can't.

Cons

Where do I begin. I am stuck in this role. I am being trained by someone who will NOT stop talking. Who always wants to take me with them when they have to travel. Because I was told that occasional travel was part of the job, so I feel like I can't say no...because I can't. You will be tasked with things outside of your job scope or area of expertise. They will make it a point to tell you that you need to make medical appointments on your Fridays off. There is not a good work/life balance. The people I work with seem to think that LM is life. It's not. I have a family to get home to. There are no windows in the building. You are stuck in a building for 10 hours with no windows...so good luck. When I went to manager about an issue with the ONLY person that can train me, I'm told, you're an adult...figure it out. You're just a butt in a seat. You're nothing special so don't think you're going to go in there and "wow" them. If you served and RETIRED from the military after 20+ years, then when I say this, you'll know exactly what I mean. They will use you up and spit you out and not a give a thought about you when you're gone. Remember that feeling? Yep, that! Oh...and you WILL have things shoved in your face and down your throat that you don't agree with. They praise and reward behavior that is counter cultural...you know what I'm talking about...the things that everyone is too afraid to speak against, but everyone knows it's ridiculous. They write front page company news articles about them and expect you to applaud. We just want to work on the planes but somehow LM is pandering to the social justice warriors. I'll be their overseas customers don't see their celebrations.
