Pros

Off Fridays are a great perk. Work life balance is what you make it. Salaries are competitive, but you have to leave and then come back to get a big jump.

Cons

Way too much management, often pushed to meet imaginary deadlines a workers expense.

Pros

Been with Lockheed 10 years and loved it. They are second to no one in military aviation, lots of opportunities to work with new technologies and ideas, large company so you can relocate to just about anywhere

Cons

May not be the most workforce oriented company, you kind of get the feeling the people are not as important as meeting schedules at least in the production parts of the company I've worked in. And layoffs happen a little more often then most in my opinion

Pros

Many exciting projects to work on that are leading edge technology. The test labs I managed were among the top facilities in the world.

Cons

With the merge with Martin, it always seems the work is leaving California. With the government spending cuts, LM has to cut it's workforce to keep in balance.
