Pros

Salary is great. Flexible time for work and personal business. Good support for career growth.

Cons

Horrific government like work culture. Very hierarchal management structure. Mired in process red tape and inefficiency. Seems like the company is obsessed with CYA messages and training. Seems like we have days at work that mirror "Office Space".

Pros

They do their best to treat the employee with respect, and provide interesting projects. A very large company with locations across the U.S., so opportunities to move are plentiful. Excellent leadership development program.

Cons

A defense contractor in this economy makes it hard to get decent raises and/or get promoted. Lots of layoffs in the last 3 years. Although the company was very "top heavy", the layoffs are correcting that issue but that also means less higher level positions for those trying to move up.

Pros

Fantastic and intelligent people Workforce development if you're in the right pipeline Cutting edge tech

Cons

If not in the right development pipeline, you can be those"lifers" Health benefits have gone from average to poor. One health plan available and you end playing quite a bit for it for so-so to poor coverage. Salary is the bottom as far as defense contractors go. From a friend, "You won't get rich working here but you won't be poor either" Promotions are hard to come by.
