Pros
Independence - opportunities to make decisions and take responsibility. Growth - increasing levels of responsibility as desired. Technical - the work itself is challenging but meaningful. Benefits - great medical, dental, life, and other insurance; 401k matching; events, etc. Great pay
Cons
Management is often caught up in the political environment that comes with corporate structure. New ideas are often not appreciated or unheard. A rating system that compares coworkers, often unjustly. Can lay you off in a moments notice, regardless of whether you are doing great work or not (no time to prepare).
