Pros

Coworkers are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Good benefits, pay and PTO. Managers are willing to work with you if you have medical issues. 4/10 working weeks. Management is encouraging technology development to make processes smoother though time is limited so the gains from this are limited.

Cons

Lots of work especially during the quarterly month ends and outlook periods. Short turn around times during these periods can make it harder. Limited time off opportunities during the summer. Not impossible to get time off during the summer but week long trips are harder. Over the past few years the company has really cut back on the money we can invest in part time work such as interns and employee networking opportunities within the company. It can be frustrating as it feels like they don't care a much about employees and with more support we could spend more time developing our processes so they can be more efficient in the future.

Pros

You are benefitted Comp time for all OT worked as a supervisor.

Cons

You get in trouble for using Comp time. Position is advertised as an option to improve work life balance but any attempt to utilize those benefits are heavily scrutinized and frowned upon by management. Forced OT for supervisors.

Pros

- 4/10 schedule makes for great flexibility - like working at multiple companies with opportunity to try new things - facilities in many cities to live where you’d like - moving packages with employment - fair performance review process (depending on your manager, but most are good on the engineering side) - workforce is both young and old, with little experience in middle management that can make you stand out - great culture and morals from 99%, all that comes with normal bad actors that are present anywhere

Cons

- poor compensation relative to the tech industry to stay competitive with government contracts - most valuable work is done behind closed doors - outdated processes and facilities that are slowly improving as contracts are won - no free coffee / food like the trendy tech companies
