      Pros

      Lockheed is a very stable employer who gives its employees the flexibility to move internally and gain experience on different programs and different functions. You can gain valuable exposure working in dynamic environments that offer multiple opportunities. The opportunity for upward mobility is always present if you pursue it. Lockheed also promotes a very positive culture and ultimately has good intentions for its employees.

      Cons

      The significant amount of bureaucracy and red tape is prohibitive to staying efficient and aggressive in a fast-paced industry. Lockheed can be very process-driven and allow corporate policy to drive decisions. This can be very impactful when pursuing international business where every negotiation is different, not the same ballgame we are accustomed to with US Government.

      Pros

      Plenty of opportunities for training and getting face time with upper management. Gain operations, finance and engineering experience. Opportunities for independent projects and business trips to see actual engineering work.

      Cons

      Sometimes the program structure would become far too rigid, but also the management structure and business rhythm changed far too often. Initiating 'change' was a large barrier at times (signature loops and battling the clock).
