      There's a decent amount of freedom to propose your own solutions and there are quite a few talented seniors to work under, as well as a great mentorship system.

      Cons

      There are quite a few limitations on available technologies due to the slow churn of government approval, and your team will likely always be many years behind a team in a non-secure industry--but such it the way of government contracting.

      Work life balance is pretty good due to overtime not being demanded most of the time.

      Cons

      Tools can be outdated. Restraints or extensive timeline to improve processes due to DOD requirements. Company cares more about time in the field than individuals contribution to the team and company making merit promotions rare.
