great people to work with within the engineering levels of 1 through 5. You get 20% off on your Verizon plans.

Cons

Honestly, there is too much to list. I could write a book. But in short, the biggest problem with Lockheed is that it simply is just too large of a company and I feel like a commodity as opposed to a person. HR has way too much power at Lockheed. HR is not looking out for the employees like they should be. They are looking out for the company first.

If you get tired of your current assignment, it is relatively easy to transfer to a new contract, business unit, location, etc.. . Government contract work is generally steady and reliable for such a large company, so the company has weathered the current financial downturn fairly well.

Cons

They create company wide policies and practices that do not always apply neatly to diverse business units. Employees may sometimes feel like they are treated as a number rather than a valued employee. Salary is not always competitive, especially the more entry level positions.
