Pros

The company cares about its Associates and goes out of its way to help Associates and their families, when possible. Lockton TX Associates that were devastated by Hurricane Harvey were very well taken care of; including help with clean up and drywall demolition AND financial aid given to those that lost homes and cars. It's a big company; with a small company feel.

Cons

The cons are about the insurance business, not Lockton specifically. We are connected 24/7. This business is non-stop. Can be overwhelming at times.

Cons

Lockton was not for me. Promotions are based on tenure rather than talent. Even at the Account Manager level you are considered hourly and your time is carefully watched - I spent a lot of time just sitting around watching the clock. Management and leadership is poor and fosters a bullying environment.

Lockton is a family owned business with a passion for excellent client service, its associates, and the community. We have the resources of the large public firms with the associate friendly focus of a private employer. Lockton is very entrepreneurial and associates are encouraged to be creative and efficient. We work hard and play hard. Our high client retention and "Beer Fridays" are a great example of those attributes, respectively. It is truly a best place to work!

Cons

We guard our culture and very carefully consider hires so it can be a long process to hire growth or replacement positions. We are also growing so quickly that associates sometimes carry an extra load while we find the right fit for our team.
