Pros

- unlimited PTO (and you can actually use it as long as you get your work done) - really nice Austin office - good office culture on Wednesdays - flexible work life balance depending on your manager and role - product seems to be doing well. Deal sizes are ramping up a lot in the past year - there’s a sense of community (at least in the Austin office). Theres a good amount of people who have worked here for a long time and seem to be happy overall

Cons

- the board makes decisions without seeming to think of downstream effects… - company has an aggressive financial goal which has led to bad layoff decisions, moving roles offshore and not backfilling certain positions - salaries are not the best if you’re not making commission (can’t speak for the technical roles though) - execs are constantly changing things up. You have to be agile here and get used to switching priorities quickly - if you’re hired in a US center of energy (Austin, Santa Barbara) you can’t move and work remote or they will fire you. But if you are hired remote then you can work remote. Makes no sense. - has become way more corporate in the last 2 years. Lots of red tape for anything. Internal promotions and raises are usually hard to come by so you’ll have to be ready to stay in your position/salary for a while unless you get lucky No company is perfect

Pros

Work-life balance & Benefits (sort of)

Cons

Heavy politics, especially at the ELT level. It's not evident at first, but success at LogicMonitor depends heavily on being a "yes man" (or woman). Those who have a desire to make things better and recommend change from the status quo are rarely taken seriously and often seen as a problem. This is evidenced by the fact that the same people that are always up for promotion or given new opportunities are the ones who don't push back on leadership. Zero autonomy: I've seen so many really great people have the passion for LM sucked right out of them by non-existent feedback loops or zero clarity. Career: For years we've been promised tiering and clear career progression across the company. So far, nothing.
