Pros

Good Benefits, decent co-workers. Good schedule.

Cons

High turnover in middle/upper management. Big difference in the way departments are treated. The people doing the physical work are overworked and spread way to thin. People are constantly being moved to different areas to fill in. They have taken most of the experienced people to work in a new suite and instead of hiring new people they have hired a minimal number of temps to fill about 1/2 the positions, leaving everyone else to scramble to complete the work on time.

Don't work here--Run away as fast as you can

Pros

Decent benefits, easy commute, friendly people

Cons

If you are looking for a job in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, there are better places to work in the Frederick MD area. The salaries are not equivalent to similar jobs in the industry, on average about 20-30% lower. People use the Walkersville facility as a training ground and leave in a year or two. Senior management is constantly changing and completely ineffectual. The facilities are not well maintained and it is difficult to get new equipment. Most people are overworked. The HR department does not support the employee and does not keep information confidential. Management tends to govern by fear and rumor. Finally, the talent here is nonexistent. Every smart person has already left- which contributes to the year over year double digit turnover.

Waste of time

Pros

Good salary and benefits if your salary personal. Product is a good market leader and strong. Good location to live in the North Atlanta area. Basic steady cost of living pay increase of 2% yearly. Heath insurance cost average for the coverage.

Cons

Very micro-managed upper management. Management not trust worthy, very inconsistent and a good old boy type culture. Hard to fit in if you come in new to the environment. Company not willing to invest were it needs to be. Advancement within the company not going to happen. Internal communication of changes and close to home activities not good.
