As a first job in luxury fields, I think it is one of the most formating.

Pros

Once you've cumuled a minimum of 1.5 year of experience, especially in a big store, other companies from luxury are more willing to hire you and with commissions on sales, but maybe less possibilities for upgrading your job experience.

Cons

Lots and lots activities! Always very busy, not much like the idea people can have from a luxury store were only few customers stepp through its doors (and the security agent to open them for you).

You don't work for commission; a lot of training opportunities; it looks good on a resume

Cons

Sales goals are set to a level where achieving the quarterly bonus is extremely difficult to achieve; they have created a lot of layers of busy work, turning a perfectly good client book into an entire system that is not helpful but is mandatory to fill out

Fast paced environment. Able to learn many new skill sets.

Cons

Too political. Too much reporting. Reporting is important to the business but need to keep things simple and focus on whats truly important in order to sustain growth - keep your employees happy so they will provide a positive customer experience!
