Pros

Decent pay for retail. Friendly upbeat people. benefits after 180 days on the job with employee 10% discount card after orientation.

Cons

Beginning to lose customer service excellence in favor of bottom line. Base hours is a thing of the past. Management tries to keep everything positive. Can be difficult to accomplish every goal.

Pros

You work on a corporate schedule, so as long as they follow it (like they are suppose to) you know your days off for the whole year.

Cons

In order to request a weekend off... you actually have to use your vacation time if it's not your corporate weekend. The upper management wants toooooo much to make sales and requires you to be pushy... without being pushy... yeah, tell me how that works.

Pros

If you are lucky enough to get a good store with good management, then it's a good place to work. Co-workers are friendly and fun to work with. As long as you have a strong work ethic and can treat customers with respect (even when they won't treat you the same), then you shouldn't have any problems. Pay was a bit above average for retail, in my experience, although they tend to start everybody out at the same rate regardless of experience. You can get a 401k after 6months (I think) even if part time.

Cons

Not possible to get a schedule that stays the same. It constantly changes and is all over the place. makes it very hard on the body and messes with your sleep schedule. Receiving clerk and cash office are the only ones I know of that had a set schedule for the most part.
