Pros

Great opportunity to directly influence the lives of those in need. In my case, I was a youth care worker, directly assisting children who needed it. Also had a competitive hourly pay that was much appreciated by essentially all employees.

Cons

Connecting with the right individual when you have an internal need (like HR, payroll, shift change, etc.) can be complex. Once you find who you need to talk to it's a breeze. The challenge is sometimes being able to sit down and talk to that person because some external campuses are understaffed in terms of HR personnel.

Pros

Good pay, paid federal holidays, PTO

Cons

Poor management, problems/issues are never properly handled, communication with the employer are only via email or telephone. I have only met one person who is the scheduler coordinator for the company once during my first day. Untrustworthy company. You would have to keep following up on something if you really need something to be done or fixed. If not, the problem will never be resolved.
