Pros

From the top, the company embraces a collaborative environment. The challenge to create the next great American car company is beyond exciting. The company is still young and small. Each employee can have a great positive impact.

Cons

The hard thing about hard things .... it's not for everyone. A lot of hours and personal sacrifice is required. But the future potential offsets that sacrifice.

Pros

The people on the ground floor, they are some of the best.

Cons

Upper Management likes to micromanage from the top down and focuses too much time on when you are in your seat vs. the quality of work you are doing. Not like most Silicon Valley startups, and no work-life balance, so if you have a family or are going to start one, steer clear.

Pros

If you are an engineer who wants to make an impact Lucid is the place for you. As a software engineer, you are able to design algorithms to improve the car and immediately see the impact you've made whether it is in powertrain controls or user experience. The company is focused on delivering the best car on the market and takes an aggressive yet pragmatic approach to technological risk. For the engineer, this means every day is exciting as you get to work on the latest technology. The culture was great. No serious idea was ignored and coming to work I always felt I was working with my friends to make the best car out there.

Cons

Lucid has taken on a big challenge after raising a $1B round recently. If you're a person who doesn't deal with ambiguity, it might be a tough place, however if you're a leader who wants to leave your mark on the automotive world, this place is for you.
