      Pros

      Depending on the team/project you are in, things can go really good or really bad.

      Cons

      The HR responsible that should find you a project in the bench period isn't doing much. You really need to be proactive and push for interviews and for your resume to get in front. Even so, things aren't going that well for some reason.
