Lyft pay has plummeted

Pros

I can make my own hours.

Cons

Lyft has started keeping a much larger percentage of the fares. I was working in Irving Texas and I received a ride request wanted me to drive two and a half hours to Wichita falls. Of course I would have to then drive back to irving. And the pickup point was 14 minutes from where I was. So that's over 5 hours of driving. They wanted to pay $32 to make this trip. That wouldn't even cover the gas. That is why I stopped working for Lyft and Uber as well. They are money sucking corporations. The pay used to be good, but no longer.

Pros

Great place to built a career in the transit tech industry in the growing industry of micromobility.

Cons

Lyft is scaling back micromobility investments and likely isn't operating dockless services in California anymore.
