      Lynker works hard to meet our employees needs and expectations. Our total compensation approach tries to provide the highest financial and fringe we can to our employees, while also addressing the limitations of working within Federal contracting.

      Pros

      Lynker has a great staff working on a variety of innovative environmental studies and projects across the US. The scientist and engineers are knowledgeable and profoundly interested in the work they do. Management is constantly looking to expand the company's expertise to new and interesting projects. Relatively small company with an enjoyable culture and room to grow.

      Cons

      With the variety of projects and geographical extent of the staff there is room for improvement regarding the communication of knowledge/experience among employees to help promote collaboration on ongoing and future projects.

      Pros

      Great balance of focus on client services and employee satisfaction. Good work-life balance. Great group of people to work with. Training is available in their niche technology offerings, but you need to ask about it (be vocal).

      Cons

      Contracts are mostly government so they are subject to government whimsy (shutdown). Not a large selection of jobs outside of Big Data and GPS. So if they bring you on for something else, you won't have many options in your field after your contract expires. Little opportunity for advancement. But that's to be expected, it's not a large company and they focus mostly on their niche.
