Pros

No pros, don’t do it. Nothing is worth working for this company.

Cons

Favoritism. Issues of conflict of interests, due to parents being managers with their own kids as their staff. Floating for this company means being subjected to 2 hour commutes. HR does not care about the employees out on the field, and will dismiss your claims. Managers are bullies, and will reprimand you if you call out sick, ask for time off, or counter their opinions in any way.

Pros

Sleek & modern property portfolio Able to bring your pet to work Colleagues are intelligent, driven, want to propel the company forward

Cons

1. The VPO’s incompetence is only magnified by her managerial ineptitude. This textbook example of Dunning-Kruger at work doesn’t have a basic understanding of fundamental property management principles. Case in point, not knowing (or maybe not bothering to learn?) the historical & current use of company specific & industry wide practices & the almost completely plagiarized idea of pandemic related tenant assistance from a much larger and well established property management company in the area (let’s just say it rhymes with turbine). 2. To echo a previous review I’ve also witnessed first hand as managers yelled at employees in the common area of corporate hq. 3. Microaggressions, gaslighting, undermining and inequitable treatment some management has toward working mothers. 4. Rampant nepotism but holds true for most privately held companies. 4. Several long time employees with outdated modes of thinking and stale, recycled ideas.

Pros

- The people you meet at Lyon are some of the best I've had the pleasure to work with and know in my professional career. We had a lot of people who come from outside the industry and Lyon does a great job with the transition. I have learned so much from my coworkers and the biggest thing is to just ask and they will help. - Exposure to many different types of large multifamily communities and regions. In my time here, I worked at over 10 communities which provides a breadth of knowledge of regions, layouts, and markets. - Growing company so there will be room for advancement if you are willing to move around to grow your career.

Cons

- Base Pay leaves much to be desired. The commission structure started in 2020 definitely gave a large bump over the previous structure but without a consistent influx of traffic for tours, the leasing staff is reduced to a front of house hourly customer service job. - At times it felt like the bottom line was more important than the success of the team at the property. Sticking to the bottom line meant the goals set for the teams and bonuses attached to those goals were never going to be met.
