Great Company to Work for Under the Right Leadership
Pros
Given you report to a good leader, you will love your job. Do your research and due diligence when applying for a position and really get to know who you will be reporting to. That is what makes all the difference here. There are always those who ruin it for others, but overall a great place for growth and learning.
Cons
Too many toxic leads, managers, directors, etc. LYB tends to utilize nepotism A LOT! This leads to people being promoted to leadership positions just because they have been there a long time instead of vetting their management and communication skills. You can be there for years yourself and find yourself under a toxic direct report leading you to leave a company that would've taken care of you had they actually made sure leaders could lead.
