Business Outlook
Pros
Great people to work with, and I have friends for life from Lyondellbasell. Lots of smart engineers to work with and learn from, and lots of great opportunities across the company. It was definitely my springboard to a better opportunity.
Cons
Most of the employees are being forced to return to the office during covid, for no logical reason, and against most everyone's wishes. Zero diversity at the company, as the culture is completely centered around a white male demographic. Very difficult to advance past an E6 level. Very little work life balance, and you're expected to work 50 hours a week, plus long commute times in bad traffic. This leaves very little time for family during the week.
