Pros
Lyons offers a lot of great opportunities but there is also a lot of favoritism in some departments. High turnover so you’re likely to get promoted, if you’ve been there a long time and don’t get promoted it’s kind of red flag. Fast paced and demanding but work weeks go by quickly. I was lucky to have an amazing team and it was heartbreaking to leave because they were the best department I’ve ever worked in.
Cons
Pay is at least 30% under market value. You’re often asked to do work far above your pay grade as well. I worked in an amazing department but unfortunately the rest of the company is completely toxic. Backstabbing on a weekly basis from other departments. There Make sure you document EVERYTHING because people will throw you under the bus to save their own skin every chance they get. There is little diversity and inclusivity within the company. Their values of a family owned business that emphasized quality and family are long gone. It is strictly about sales and the bottom line, which is fine but it has caused huge turnover in the old Lyons loyalists who do not share these same values.
