      Pros

      MACOM is a good company for an Engineer to learn by hands-on experience. Competitive salary and compensation. Company has grown in many new areas over the last several years.

      Cons

      Company is very spread out across the globe which is probably a good thing. However, it often seems to be less efficient working with several people at many locations for different tasks rather than a more localized facility.

      They outsource some work to oversees. Should really be made in USA.

      very good learning environment with growth oriented management that allows trial and error approach and understands you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. Great team to work with.

      Cons

      Too much time and focus on engineering and slow to bring products to market. This is changing, however.
