Pros

Part of the bigger Maersk Group. Don't panic in time of crisis and lay off in bulk. Treat people with respect.

Cons

Lacking visible strategy. Consensus driven to the point of not making decisions. Lack of communication, and a lot of disguising bad news as opportunities seems fake.

Pros

Benefits package is great, but could use tweaks to make it more aligned with competitors. Currently we can't even wear jeans on Fridays. Little things...

Cons

Leadership is skewed and don't provide much basis to support decisions- act based on opinions not a clear strategy. Not enough employee engagement / recognition. No plans in place to protect high performers and not enough recognition given for jobs well done. HR promotes based on friendships- not performance. In the half year before leaving- dissolved the Brazil exploration team, moved to open floor plans, drastically cut back on spending, created a policy restricting use of the stairwells, cancelled the company holiday party, and no longer offer a free lunch for employees. Wonder why people are leaving...

Pros

It's a paycheck. Mu coworkers are nice.

Cons

Maersk leadership cannot be trusted. They present themselves as transparent, but their actions often tell a different story. Most recently, employees were informed that we would be returning to the office five days a week — despite previous assurances that the three-day in-office requirement would not increase. Before that, we were told the same thing about the two-day requirement. Leadership is disorganized and frequently implements projects without fully thinking them through. Job security is another major concern, as layoffs occur multiple times throughout the year, every year. In addition, leadership has been slow to address ongoing operational issues. Employees have repeatedly raised concerns about the lack of support from other teams, which continues to delay customer resolutions. Despite consistent feedback, little to no meaningful change has been made.
