Pros

ManTech pays an above average salary for many positions. Some jobs offer telecommuting. Once laid off, you are considered an "associate" so that you may apply for other jobs since you are already in the system.

Cons

Lack of transparency among leadership. Folks worked 14 hour days for many months to stand up a project and were laid off on a Friday at 4:30 pm with computer access being blocked that same evening. Many were told their services were no longer needed. They were told the contract would be for 2 years but once the ground work was laid by doing the hard work, they transitioned lower level people into roles to maintain the work. For some, the work lasted 8 months. They were really good, hard working people.

Pros

ManTech is a great company to work for when the country is at war, because their core business is tied so closely to military engagements. Decent 401k match, and pays for parking/transportation to client site.

Cons

When the drawdowns happen, so much of their lost revenue hits the line employees. High insurance premiums, lots of corporate red-tape. On my contract, several employees were given notice of their layoffs (due to contract modifications) on Christmas Eve, despite the company knowing about these layoffs for several weeks prior.
