Pros

Over all the Company is a good place to work. They have impressive conferences at places like the National Ball Park, cocktail/casino parties to play a little, charities, and other fun stuff. Their benefits are good. They have a variety of packages to choose from. Also, when your department is doing well, they reward you with NICE bonuses. They have competitive salaries.

Cons

Managers don't tell you when your'e doing a good job or when you need improvement on you. Their department for career advancement needs a little work.

Pros

Working for ManTech allows me to work on things, go places, and pursue challenges that most people in or out of my field only dream about. In my experience, the company is willing to take chances on people that might otherwise not fit the typical "position template", but is willing to train and give you the opportunity to show competence. This leads to an friendly, eclectic and enthusiastic workplace that is one of the best I've been a part of, with folks of unquestionable work ethic, innovative mindset, and resourcefulness - the kind of folks that will work past clock-out because they're doing something they love. Scheduling is flexible and work-life balance is decent for a large Government contractor... most of the time. Great salaries and ample opportunity for movement within the company's rather wide umbrella of fields.

Cons

- In many government contracts, extensive travel may be required - may be a con for some people. - As with all contracting, you're beholden to the requirements of the customer (in this case, the US Government), which can sometimes be not well thought-out, overly ponderous, or even unreasonable. - However, it is most frustrating when the company itself finds itself stuck in the bureaucratic, conservative, compartmentalized contracting shuffle that often defines this industry, and can fail to support (by funding, or even putting some corporate weight behind) some truly bright and creative ideas and solutions that ManTech otherwise encourages by its own culture and the people it employs. This occasional stinginess of money, power, and time can only hurt ManTech in the long run.
