Pros

1. Stability, your job is protected even if you do the bare minimum 2. You only need to know the bare minimum to pass the interview 3. Its a good place to start your career 4. discount rate for employees if they purchase company products 5. If you have a good manager, it should be a cool place 6. They invest in Academic development of employees eg degree or certification sponsorship, though you cannot resign from the company until after X years, which isnt a bad deal Of course, i gave my best but i wrote the above to highlight how stable the company is in terms of Job security.

Cons

My review is very subjective—it's based on how I felt and what led me to leave the company. My experience does not necessarily represent the entire company's culture. 1. Career growth is limited, even with hard work. Promotions and salary raises are unlikely. 2. My direct manager often took credit for my work, making it difficult for me to stand out. 3. I felt that I was not treated equally by my manager, i experience discrimination severall, though I believe the company itself has fair policies. 4. My manager was not technically knowledgeable, which made it difficult for him to understand or appreciate the effort I put into my work. This led to a lack of trust in the team. 5. The salary was on the lower side. I only realized how underpaid I was after changing jobs, despite management presenting the pay as competitive. 6. It may not be the best place for tech-savvy and ambitious individuals since most tech projects were outsourced. 7. When positions became vacant, they were not refilled. Instead, existing employees were given additional responsibilities without extra compensation. 8. The company leans toward an older workforce, which influences the organizational culture. 9. Work-life balance was a challenge. I often worked 12–18-hour days but was still required to be in the office daily, even though my role was not client-facing. At times, it felt overwhelming. Additionally, my manager expected 24/7 availability and even routed customer support calls to employees' personal phones. 10. There was pressure to be in the office even when sick. Despite the company offering 30 days of sick leave, taking more than a few days led to judgment from my manager. This was a difficult experience that I still find troubling. 11. When I worked extra hours to meet deadlines—sometimes during holidays, weekends, or vacations—overtime pay was treated as though it was a favor from the company rather than fair compensation. Eventually, this was used against me when I experienced burnout. 12. I experienced burnout multiple times, with little concern or empathy from my manager. 13. There was a lot of gossip from my manager about colleagues and subordinates. 14. My role did not align with what I was hired to do—I spent about 80% of my time handling unrelated tasks. 15. Looking back, I regret staying at Mapfre MSV Life Malta for as long as I did. --- This version keeps your review honest and direct while maintaining professionalism. Pros

Work from home & company provided monitors (2), keyboard & mouse, webcam, headset, and chromebox

Cons

*This is all I can think of at the moment, but trust me the list should be much longer than this* -MICRO MANAGING -SLOW SYSTEMS (and they are aware) -Prior to Feb 2023 - calls were routed to our personal numbers and no additional compensation given for extra phone usage and/or no designated work phone provided. -Company has screwed over the customers with raising rates 15%+, raising internal fees, taking away cost saving opportunities & discounts. -Management will get annoyed if you go above and beyond to help customer such as warm transferring to an external number such as the agent of the policy. -Wrap up time allowed for a call should not exceed 5 mins but they expect 2mins or less but during that time you must note the account, possibly send an email, upload a document or multiple, may have to send a fax, and make a follow-up call for complete resolution - but they don't care about what you're actually doing in an attempt to keep the client happy and maintain business they only care about meeting the impossible metrics -Leads and Supervisors were not helpful but condescending when asking for assistance and they refused to take escalations. -The company gave little to no raises or bonuses -My supervisor had said racist comments and it was nearly impossible to find a contact for HR but when I did their excuse to cover for her was dumb -HR is nearly impossible to contact and they are rude and nagging!

Pros

- Individual contributors are all good people trying to get through it. - Tons of vacation (good luck disconnecting). - Travel and parking is easy. - Still can see some remnants of a great place to work.

Cons

- Every new idea is the best idea until it’s not. Anyone with enough time on their hands can read a white paper and present it as the next best thing. And ultimately some action or stupid process usually arises from it. That is until the next raising star comes with yet another LinkedIn, Forbes, or ... an otherwise unproven bunch of jibberish and we change direction again. - Spanish influence, smart enough people but the ego is too large to hear truth or direction from people that actually might know a thing or two. This causes constant priority changes until everything is #1 priority. Pushed out the old guard and now what your guessing and spinning out of control. FACT - see policy count erosion for your reality check. - HR on steroids, has been one of the single most destructive forces in the company over the last three years. With an eye for younger and prettier "talent", This is the place to go to be promoted into some of the hardest/highest titles to get and having almost no direct reports. Not to mention so much of the pointless process for change. – FACT - See employee erosion for your reality check. Also, to keep repeating “those are the people we wanted to leave” just is laughable now.
