Too much micromanagement, research management does not keep its promises, cannot trust in your supervisors, difficult to transfer to other departments; lately many people were hired for clinical research with no relevant education and/or experience; failed HR employees transfer themselves to positions and getting the highest end of the salary range, while they don't have relevant education and/or experience, while at the same time regular employees barely get a raise; unfair treatment of certain employees, double standard. More cons than pros for sure.

Since they are so big, it takes too long for some things to get done. Supervisors in the department do not use the discipline process well, they either ignore it or over-use it. They should have more training so you can know what to expect.
