Pros

Offers great patient care Healthcare benefits to employees Added value to CV

Cons

Not all groups have these cons, however, the group I worked with had hierarchy politics Clinicians get recognized more than the actual researcher You are easily replaceable if you are on an immigrant visa, despite good performance

Pros

The mission is great and they're doing a lot to serve the broader community even outside the hospital services.

Cons

Some of the major Houston health plans don't contract with MDACC, hard to tell who is at fault there.

Pros

Benefits Package is great. Work environment from the lab, recruitment, HR and everyone else is friendly and very informative (makes the transition as easy as possible). Very big on making you feel like a part of the company and that your role plays a significant part in it.

Cons

Hard to get past the application selection process, but once you are in its easy sailing
