      Pros

      MDACC is the best place to advance your knowledge and research skills in cancer research (if you are a researcher). The health benefits are way better than any other institution in Houston, TX. As an employee, you never get confused for anything-including day 1. Everything is well organized, clear, simple.

      Cons

      Salaries are relatively lower compared to other institutions (for most of the positions).

      Pros

      Great salary, wonderful educational opportunities for those that have time to attend, and, with over 21,000 employees, there's almost any job you could want here. It's quite easy to move around once you know people.

      Cons

      Very dependent upon the department where you are hired. Make sure to ask about the culture and day to day of the position before accepting. In my last position here, my boss was a nightmare and I worked non-stop. But, the department I'm in now is very laid back.

      Pros

      Good benefits, very diversified, provides good training, good working environment and aims for patient satisfaction.

      Cons

      Too much politics and one department I have worked for has a high turnover of manpower due to its Administrator. Even then, HR are being biased and up to this date according to my former coworkers is not really investigating nor doing any actions about it. There are positions being offered for advancement but normally taken by management's favorite.
