Pros

Not good for admins but good for researchers

Cons

No mission for admins other than don’t upset the researchers. Rules are not for researchers just admins. SSD is a mess. Look at the turn over. Pay below market.

Pros

Great technical projects and plenty of opportunities to lead and develop programs. Management is supportive of staff with innovative ideas and an entrepreneurial work style.

Cons

Group leadership seem to be less interested in the mission (government sponsors) and more interested in their own projects. Group leadership does not foster an environment of team work. The feeling among staff is that the sponsors need the laboratory so we don't have to cater them.
