Pros

great environment and smart people around you. Nice staff and faculties. A lot of new opportunities.

Cons

Too many chances and it's easy to be distracted. Too many talents and you will feel yourself too normal.

Pros

Being a graduate student at MIT means you have access to large pools of money and a world-class set of minds. This makes for a phenomenal experience.

Cons

The institute disincentives graduate students getting their own national fellowships when those have tuition shortfalls, as it has a very convoluted system to pay the difference that goes through the student.
