Pros

I can collaborate with talented faculty members and students. MIT highly encourages multi-disciplinary research, so I have lots of freedom to collaborate with people from different departments. I can also select any graduate courses I like.

Cons

The winter here is terrible! The course studying here is very tough and time-consuming. Sometimes, the homework and course projects distract PhD students from their research.

Pros

Amazing people & great benefits. I've been there for 15 years in a variety of positions, and I've love working there.

Cons

For my field, the salary isn't competitive. I'd love to stay, but I can make so much more money elsewhere. That said, the benefits are worth a lot!

Pros

MIT offers an exceptional environment for researcher. There are numerous resources one can use in campus and it is a life time opportunity to meet the Toppest people in the world.

Cons

The pressure is expected high because one will be surrounded with talented scholars. The salary is not enough for living cost at Boston
