Pros

Great career resources for professional development and alumni networking for post-docs. Offers 401K plan for post-doc ASSOCIATES, but not for FELLOWS. Good medical center and overall kind people around the campus to work with. Pays 1/2 of the monthly T-pass.

Cons

Almost no work-life balance, depending on the lab you work on stress can be higher than the average research institution. Compensation of post-docs is low like all places, but it is especially negative factor when you consider how expensive cost of living in this city.

Pros

Substantial flexibility in hours, amazingly talented & intelligent community, great gym facilities (climbing wall, pool, basketball courts), emphasis on learning, fast-paced, free classes for employees

Cons

Salary was pretty low, and there was sometimes too much to do and not enough people who knew how to do it (i.e., easy to get burned out).
