      Great Benefits; Career Advancement Can Be A Challenge

      Pros

      Pay is excellent (although the common wisdom is that the pay is higher at for-profit entities in the community like Meta and Amazon). Benefits reasonable for the region.

      Cons

      MITRE has been in a period of transition and uncertainty since before the pandemic. Cost-saving measures have lowered morale. Federal sponsors are not as supportive and enthusiastic as they were historically. Very few opportunities to pursue high-level executive positions for non-engineers such as legal, policy, and business process specialists. Diversity and Inclusion efforts are largely perfunctory and designed to maintain the status quo, but I find this to be true about most corporate employers.

      New ceo seems to have a goodnhead on his shoulders, and given Jason's performance there's really nowhere to go but up

      Cons

      Still recovering from the disastrous previous CEO, which really tanked trust and confidence in leadership
