New CEO is doing a great job in a challenging environment. Work can be interesting if you’re on the right project.

Cons

Director level folks still suffering from the previous good growth strategy - usurping work just to be able to claim “revenue”. Not staffing the most qualified for roles just whoever needs to be covered.

Mark, the new CEO is great. He is compassionate and is leading well through difficult times. Focus on compassion and treating people like human beings during a period of a reduction in force sets an example for the entire company.

Cons

If you are looking for a company with exponential growth, MITRE is not the place for you. Based on contractions from the government, I would expect that their business would be level for some time. I think after that time, MITRE's value will be obvious as they do work in the public good so their value will be apparent.
