Pros

Technical people are great, everyone believe in their work. No pressure to work more than 40 hours a week. Retirement matching program is excellent.

Cons

Upper management straight up disregards employee dissatisfaction. Many VPs from outside Mitre. There has also been pushes to get senior people to leave in how HR resources are managed, and instead we are losing many great people in the middle of their careers.

Pros

Everyone I've directly worked with is great, and the work itself is fun and rewarding. Plus, they do a good job at recognizing hard work.

Cons

Management is completely out of touch with the company. Crazy cost-cutting such as removing trash cans from offices so that they can save on janitorial services, removing free lunch and coffee, forcing us to migrate from hard-token 2FA to smartphone-application based 2FA, cutting the bonuses budget so less people can get rewarded for hard work, etc. All this while laying large groups of people off, hiring a ridiculous amount of VP-level personnel with salaries I don't even want to guess at, and telling us that there are no money problems.

Pros

Interesting, meaningful work in support of national security. Talented people (too many are leaving).

Cons

The CEO weilds power toward destructive ends: - Fired people who didn't get COVID shots regardless of reasons (e.g. natural immunity). - Cut benefits while touting strong corporate financial position. - Mandates badge swipes into offices without regard for purpose of office work - Curtailed telework with arbitrary policies (50 mile rule) - Injects his political biases into work discussions/decisions counter to corporate policy. "Rules for thee, not for me". - Ignores most "upvoted" questions during meetings because they don't fit his narrative
