      Pros

      MITRE is in a sweet spot where they act as a trusted advisor to the government. You get to do what right and still be innovative. There are so many different opportunities within MITRE that it is very easy to pursue new passions or areas in your field. I had no idea what I really wanted to do and got to try out a lot of things early in my career to find what fit best for me.

      Cons

      Senior leadership does not always seem aligned with what the rest of the company is feeling and could do a better job with honest transparency. I found career growth early in my career fairly straightforward and easy, but after 10 years, the career growth opportunities start to lack.

      The people are great, benefits are still competitive. Interesting work (if you can find it)

      Corporate leadership needs a complete makeover. Also, we shouldn’t have to look for work to do; we already have a job.
