      Pros

      challenging, impactful work with smart, hard-working, innovative teams. I retired recently after over 4 decades. Knew several CEOs and VPs committed to the mission and innovation and thrived through multiple corporate changes.

      Cons

      In addition to what others have said…. Lack of consistent executive engagement with senior sponsors and project teams. Without that, there is little visibility on any party’s part into the real problems and solutions. I’ve seen MITRE become much less relevant over the last 10 years.

      Recent Return to Office Policies Have Made This Company Difficult

      Pros

      Amazing workforce who are talented, intelligent and care about the work that they do.

      Cons

      Policies that kill employee morale (return to office, enforced by badge swipe data). C-suite and senior leadership who are disconnected from ground level employees, make poor decisions regarding business spending, and are tone deaf to employee perceptions of their lack of leadership (e.g. employee benefits were cut even while senior bonuses were paid, and first class travel was allowed for execs).
