Pros

The people you work with on a day to day basis are great people and very smart. The projects can be extremely interesting and the work is fulfilling.

Cons

It can be hard to find work. You will often be fearing for your job security due to constant and abrupt changes from the CEO.

Pros

MITRE has a lot of opportunities for new graduates to explore different areas within cyber or across government sponsors. This is a great place to start to identify what area of cyber excites you the most.

Cons

I am under the belief that upper management may withhold information regarding the company's financial standing. I would prefer to know when the company is struggling so I can appropriately prepare for potential layoffs.

The work is good and meaningful. Surrounded by lots of smart people.

Cons

The CEO is completely tone deaf. The middle management is great, but the VPs and above are not. They make decisions that hurt morale and benefits, and deliver the news very poorly, treating employees rudely and dodging perfectly legitimate questions. It appears that they're trying recently to encourage more experienced staff to leave the company. Vacation was recently cut by one week for experienced staff, and a furlough was "highly encouraged" but not strictly enforced at Thanksgiving.
