Pros

Amazing small company who really cares about their employees.

Cons

I work at a different site than my company where websites are blocked and sometimes MLT uses websites that we can't access yet we are required to login and do a morning report. I have to remember to do this from my phone as soon as I get to work. It's a bit frustrating but it's new so I'm sure they will work out the bugs. Overall, this company is spectacular!!

Pros

MLT is very employee-oriented and tries to include employees in decisions affecting them. Management lets employees do their job and do not micromanage. The culture is very friendly and even though there are a lot of remote locations, the company does a good job of staying in contact through email and their SharePoint site. The company is also growing which is a real positive in the government contracting business.

Cons

Since the company is still relatively small--less than 100, it is hard to offer all of the benefits a large company offers, but with that is mind, MLT does offer a lot of things and has a generous PTO policy.

Great management, but at constant threat of layoff

Pros

Very people empowered. The president of the company makes an effort to know everyone on board. They try to find you another job within the companies contracts if you are about to leave through no fault of your own

Cons

As of this writing, MLT's contracts are mostly sub-contract and not the prime for clients. Sub-contractors are usually the first to go during a drawdown (which is going on right now due to the ravaged economy). Also of late, many contracts are not being won or current MLT contracts are being de-scoped. As a result, the threat of layoff seems to loom in the horizon. You are also the lone MLT employee at most sites: that can be nerve racking especially when you have other companies' employees deciding your fate.
