Pros

Pay is decent, coworkers friendly, and management is improving. Opportunity for overtime was a plus

Cons

Schedule changed a lot, management used to change every 6-8 months, dispatch was difficult to work with at times

Pros

Wage is decent. Flexible hours around your schedule.

Cons

Very high stress. Corporate expects perfection and doesn't tolerate occasional mistakes. Benefits are horrible. Incredibly expensive and a very high deductible. High Turnover. Can't keep people around due to poor management. They promise raises and schedules, but never follow through. Everyone in Corporate sees crew members and dispatchers as numbers, not people. The company cares more about making money than patient care. If you are a paramedic or an EMT, expect to constantly be held over on your shift and be burnt out quickly. Station managers are inept.

Pros

Unlimited overtime Great crews Great pay.

Cons

Management telling you that Ohio is an at will state and that you can be replaced. Petty drama from other employees HR does nothing even when you have legitimate issues. Impossible standards to meet and then being blamed for not meeting them. For example : not being able to meet a set goal time because there are not enough squads and then being told my the manager that you will be held accountable. Not knowing if you will have appropriate staffing : not having wheelchair drivers overnight when we should.
