Pros

- Across every department, everyone here is crazy talented and a pleasure to work with. - Management (even at high level) is generally receptive to feedback and takes steps to address issues when they come up. - Lots of room for career/skill growth. - Good communication between teams (this used to be a real bottleneck).

Cons

- Deadlines can be very tight (or in worst cases, unrealistic (scope creep is real)). - Still a start up, so there are a lot of growing pains as processes/hierarchies change.

Pros

I've now been at Mob for almost a year now soon, and I have been having a great time with not only the games we're working on, but also with the people. Between leadership and the fantastic individuals that make up the many teams at Mob, I've thoroughly enjoyed working with each and every one of them. The leadership puts forth an active and honest effort at all times to do what's best for not only the company, but the people who make up this company, and the end consumer of the games. This company is full of passion, nobody just clocks in and clocks out, just "doing their job" and vanishing into the background. I'm so proud and humbled by the skill and passion of everyone at Mob.

Cons

It's a young company; it's growing and learning. There are some rougher areas at the company, but they are actively being smoothed out and being addressed. Communication, like in all companies is going to always be a challenge, but with more recent endeavors, the improvement in this area is dramatically noticeable and a huge step forward.

Pros

- Mostly great coworkers to work with in the Mid - Lead levels.

Cons

Career Growth: - No long term career growth. - A clear misalignment/misunderstanding of this role's responsibilities. Communication: - Poor communication among departments. - Much misinformation spread among department heads. - Decisions are made by directors who are not familiar with the Game development pipeline. - Good leaders who do have that experience are not listened to. Nepotism: - Favoritism from Directors based on personal relationships. - No actionable change to support the workers. - No actionable change to improve pipelines taken from worker feedback. Crunch: - Production pipeline is over scoped and constantly invites crunch, which has improved from previous games but is still not good. Culture: - A culture where people are afraid to speak their minds because they are afraid for their job security. - A sense that workers are replaceable with no concern of anyone leaving. Hiring: - There was an ultimatum given for accepting the job. - The recruiter had an unprofessional tone and did not communicate well. Compensation: - Low pay. - Low pay adjustments. - Average Benefits. - Low PTO accumulation.
