Good place to start, learned a lot of excellent techniques from seasoned physical therapists. Decent work-life balance was provided; able to accommodate for a doctor appointment within reason.

Cons

Company grew too big too quickly. Many locations acquired in a short span, with PTA positions quickly phased out. PTA’s were quickly phased out in many locations shortly after my departure - glad to have seen the writing on the wall prior to leaving the company. Numbers are also king. Had multiple PTs remove patients from the PTA schedule to make productivity in anticipation of bonuses.

Cons

Productivity requirements have reduced treatment times allotted per patient, benefits are lacking without 401k match, poor health care coverages with high deductibles
